The app
Wortwise is an offline vocabulary app by Mazen Alsenih, Germany. Publisher address and telephone. Contact: wortwise@mazensenih.com.
Your optional nickname, learning language, daily goal, bookmarks, review schedule, and activity are stored on your device to provide learning features. They are not sent to us. Wortwise has no account system, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, or developer-operated cloud sync. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or advertising identifier.
Storage and deletion
Local learning data remains until you delete a learner profile or remove the app. To delete any profile, open You, tap the trash icon beside the learner, and confirm. Device backups and restoration are controlled by your Apple settings. Wortwise has no built-in progress export. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete data that exists only on your device.
Apple services
Apple handles App Store payment, downloads, device backups, and any system diagnostics you choose to share. Pronunciation uses Apple’s German speech voice on your device; a voice may need downloading through Settings. Apple processes information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment-card details.
When you contact support
If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. Correction links prepare an email subject with the word ID and translation language; nothing is sent automatically. Please do not include private study history.
We use support correspondence to respond to your request, provide purchase-related support, and correct content. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual support or Article 6(1)(f) for our legitimate interest in responding to other enquiries and improving content. Email delivery is handled by the relevant mail providers. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal retention obligations.
Our support-email delivery uses Resend, with messages forwarded to a Google Gmail mailbox. These providers may process messages outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google describes its applicable safeguards in its data-transfer frameworks. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your request.
This website
These pages use the standard mazensenih.com website layout and consent controls. Optional Vercel website analytics load only if you choose “Allow analytics”; choose “Necessary only” to leave them disabled. This website choice does not enable analytics in the Wortwise app. The website host, Vercel, processes technical request information such as IP address, request time, and browser information to deliver and secure the pages. This is based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. See Vercel’s privacy policy for its processing and international-transfer safeguards. Your rights
For personal data we hold, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact wortwise@mazensenih.com. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, including the authority where you live or work. You can use the app without contacting support or providing your real name.
