How do I start?
Choose English or Arabic meanings and a daily review goal. Your nickname is optional. Tap Start learning, then Start your first lesson. Think of the meaning before revealing each card.
What do Again, Hard, Good, and Easy mean?
Again repeats a missed word once during the session and schedules it for another review in 10 minutes. The other buttons show the next review interval. Your daily goal counts answers, including quizzes and retries.
Does it work offline?
The vocabulary, examples, quizzes, bookmarks, profiles, and review schedule work offline. Pronunciation uses an installed German system voice. Download a German voice in iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content (or Read & Speak) → Voices before using speech offline. Support and website links need a connection.
Which languages are included?
The app teaches German with English and Modern Standard Arabic meanings. The interface is in English. You can change the meaning language under You without losing progress.
Is there a subscription?
No. Wortwise is planned as a one-time paid app with no subscription, advertising, or in-app purchases. The App Store will show the price for your region before purchase.
How do I redownload a purchase?
Use the same Apple Account and find Wortwise in your App Store purchase history. There is no in-app Restore Purchases button because the purchase is the app itself. Purchase access does not restore learning progress.
Can I move or delete my progress?
Profiles are saved on the device. There is no built-in cloud sync or export. Apple device backups depend on your settings. To delete a profile, open You, tap its trash icon, and confirm. Removing the app deletes its local data.
I found an incorrect meaning or example.
Open the word details and tap Report a correction. Your mail app opens a draft with the word ID and language. Explain the issue and suggested correction; no study history is attached or sent automatically.
My progress cannot be opened. What should I do?
Close and reopen the app. If the message remains, contact support before deleting or reinstalling Wortwise. The app preserves unreadable saved data rather than silently overwriting it.
